4. What happens if an insured person does not have relevant identifications with him/her when receiving medical treatment?

In the event that an insured person needs medical treatment before acquiring the said forms or National Health Insurance card or has no said forms with him/her when receiving medical treatment due to emergency, this insured person shall submit his/her ID and inform the medical institution, prior to the treatment, that he/she is covered by labor insurance. The insured person shall pay for treatment and submit the required documents within 10 business days (or before hospital discharge) to the medical institution. The National Health Insurance contracted medical institution will refund the medical expenses subject to National Health Insurance Program.
