The Labor Insurance Information Is Open for Inquiry through the Labor Protection Card on ATM from July 1st 2006

The cardholder of the Labor Protection Card issued by the Bureau of Labor Insurance(BLI) in cooperation with the banks, can use a new function from July 1st 2006, namely, checking or printing the latest 6 Labor Insurance records of joining, withdrawing of the Insurance, and the Insurance salary adjustment on the issuing bank's ATM, in addition to inquiring the latest 6 Individual Labor Pension Account records on ATM, and by linking to the BLI's personal net inquiry system through the issuing bank's net ATM interface acquiring the complete information of the Labor Insurance variations, payment, and seniority, as well as the contribution, profit, and accumulation sum of the Labor Pension Account.

To serve the vast numbers of labors, the BLI in cooperation with the banks put forward the Labor Protection Card on December 2005, incorporating account checking and other financial functions, providing labors convenient access to inquire into the latest 6 Individual Labor Pension Account records.  Adding to that, the cardholders may also get the complete detail of the Labor Insurance variation, payment, and seniority, as well as that of the Labor Pension Account of the contribution, profit, and accumulation sum, by linking to the BLI's personal net inquiry system through the card-issuing bank's net ATM interface from January 31st 2006.
And to provide labors more familiar channel to the Labor Insurance information inquiry, the BLI, after studying together with the financial institutions, has extended the present inquiry services to over 4000 ATM around the country.  The labors can use the Labor Protection Card to check or print the latest 6 records of joining, withdrawing the Insurance, and the Insurance Salary adjustment from July 1st 2006, and can easily realize whether the employer un-erroneously insure for them, and that their insurance rights are not neglected. The BLI stresses that to protect the safety of the insured person's personal information, it has signed with the issuing banks the contract which stipulates manifestly that the personal information of the insured persons cannot be revealed to any third party or be used for other purposes.  
One should note that the contract renewal should be completed first for the Labor Protection Cards issued before July 2006, by either signing a written consent with the card-issuing bank, or selecting upon its ATM agreement options, to consent the BLI to provide one's personal information to the bank, before enabling this new function.

The Labor Protection Card makes account checking convenient and confidential, through which one can easily inquire into the personal Labor Insurance as well as the Individual Labor Pension Account information. The labors who still have not applied for the Card can go to the financial institutions the BLI cooperates with (the Land Bank: 02-23146633, the Taipei Fubon Bank: 0800-007-889, the Taishin Bank: 02-26553355 and the E.Sun Bank: 02-23991313) to apply for it with their ID card or other identity certificate such as the driver's license or the Health Insurance IC card. No yearly fee or other expense is charged for this convenient access to the Labor Insurance and Labor Pension information inquiry, and to the firm control of one's labor protection rights.
