Application Procedures

1.    Application for Making Payments
Farmers who voluntarily begin making payments into farmers’ pensions shall fill out applications and file them with the base level farmers’ association through (base level farmers' association) which they are covered by FHI. On receiving the application, the farmers' association should, on the same day when the application is reviewed and confirmed compliant, notify the BLI to commence the payment.

2.    Application for Discontinuing the Contribution
Farmers who voluntarily cease making payments into farmers’ pensions shall fill out applications and file them with the base level farmers’ association through (base level farmers' association) which they are covered by FHI. Farmers’ associations that accept applications shall, on the day that they review whether the applying farmer handle the ceasing of payments, notify the BLI to begin or cease payments to farmers’ pensions.

3.    Reporting the Adjustment of payment ratio
Farmers can apply to the base level farmers’ associations through which they are covered by FHI in May or November of each year to adjust the payment ratio, and the farmers’ association shall notify the BLI before the end of the month in which the application was received; the adjustment shall take effect from the first day of the month following notification.

 [Example]: If a farmer submits to the farmers' association his/her application for the adjustment of payment ratio on May 15, the farmers' association should report the case before end of May. The adjustment shall take effect on June 1.
