3. How to apply for a Designated Account for Labor Insurance Benefits?

If it is necessary for the insured person or his/her beneficiary (beneficiaries) to establish a designated account for claiming labor insurance benefits, he/she may apply to the Bureau of Labor Insurance for such an account. The BLI, on accepting the application, will issue a “Notice for the Opening of a Designated Account for Labor Insurance Benefits”. The insured person or his/her beneficiary (beneficiaries) should visit the branches of the Land Bank of Taiwan or Post Office in person to complete the account opening procedures, presenting the notice letter, his/her personal identity card, personal seal, as well as a second identity document carrying his/her photo.
