3. What is the difference between a designated employment insurance account and a regular account?

Besides the benefit payments of employment insurance from the BLI, no other sums can be deposited into designated account. This is the difference that distinguishes it from regular account. The designated account holder can withdraw separate sums freely, and the interest accrues just like regular bank account.
