19. If I gave birth to a second child during my unpaid parental leave for my first child, can I continue to receive unpaid parental leave allowances?

If an insured person receives parental leave allowances for her first child and has withdrawn from the insurance coverage, giving birth to her second child did not occur during the valid period of the insurance agreement. Therefore, the insured person may not continue to receive unpaid parental leave allowances for her second child. However, while receiving unpaid parental leave allowances for the first child, if the insured person chooses to continue participating in labor insurance and employment insurance, gives birth to the second child during her first unpaid parental leave, and conforms to the regulation for receiving unpaid parental leave allowances, she may continue to receive allowances for her second child.
