5. One of our employees is about to attain 65 years of age, are we required to apply for withdrawal of employment insurance on the employee's behalf?

For insured persons who have enrolled in the labor insurance and occupational accident insurance programs and are eligible for employment insurance coverage or those who are only enrolled in the employment insurance and occupational accident insurance programs, the BLI shall directly void their eligibility for employment insurance on the date when they attain the age of 65, if the insured person is still employed and under insurance coverage at the time. It is not necessary for the insured unit to separately withdraw the employee from employment insurance.
