6. What is the appointed worker? Whether he/she could contribute to labor pension? If the insured unit does not want to contribute labor pension for him/her, what kind of proof documents should be submitted?

  1. The so-called the appointed worker means someone who is appointed by others through contract to handle their affairs.
  2. The appointed worker is the target of voluntary contribution under New Labor Pension system, employers voluntarily contribute for the appointed worker or they voluntarily contribute to labor pension are all permitted. However, the employer’s contribution rate is limited to 6% and below and the personal contribution rate is also limited to below or equal to 6%.
  3. When the insured unit apply for enrollment in labor insurance for the appointed worker , if it does not want to contribute labor pension for them, it should make a remark on the application stating “The appointed worker does not contribute pension”. If necessary, the BLI will require the insured unit to supply relevant certificates.
