Survivor Benefits (A lump-sum benefit payment)

This calculation device for occupational accident benefit shall apply to the occupational accidents occurred before April 30, 2022 (inclusive), and to those who opt for the occupational insurance benefits under the Labor Insurance Act.

Related regulations:

1. The insured persons who have insurance coverage seniority before Jan. 1, 2009 could claim for survivor allowances
2. The average monthly insurance salary is calculated by dividing the insured persons' total monthly insurance salaries in the most current 6 months (including the current month) prior to the insurance incident occurs by 6; for those who have joined insurance coverage less than 6 months, their average monthly insurance salaries shall be calculated by their actual coverage years.
3. Generally, a five-month funeral grant is based on the average monthly Insurance Salary for six months before the month the insured person died. The dependents could claim 10 to 30-month survivor allowence. Furthermore, if the death due to occupational injuries or occupational diseases, the dependents could claim 40-month survivor allowence no relation to the insurance coverage seniority of the insured person. For exception, the dependents of insured person do not meet the criteria for claiming survivor pension or survivor allowances or there is no dependent, the persons who pay for the funeral expenses could claim a ten-month funeral grant.
