58. How should the foreign labor apply to participate in labor insurance coverage if he/she is unable to obtain proof documents on the date he/she arrives at his/her post?

If foreign labor is unable to obtain related proof documents on the date he/she arrives at his/her post, in order to protect the employee’s rights and interests, the insured unit still needs to apply for insurance coverage enrollment on the date the foreign employee arrives at the post. If the insurance coverage enrollment form for the foreign labor submitted by the insured unit does not enclose the proof documents needed or the application is incomplete, the Bureau of Labor Insurance will return the original application to the insured unit with written reply and notification. The insured unit should supplement and correct the application within 10 days after it has received the notification from the Bureau, if the correction and supplement are made within the time period, the insurance coverage is effective from the date it originally applied; if the correction and supplement have passed the deadline, the insurance coverage will be effective next day after the application is corrected and supplemented; if the correction and supplement are not done after the time period, the insurance coverage will not become effective.
