9. I was laid off. I want to continue my enrollment in labor insurance voluntarily, how do I pay the premiums? Will there be any consequences if I fail to pay the premiums on time?

  1. An insured person who has been laid off and remains enrolled in labor insurance on a voluntary basis should pay the insurance premiums via direct debit from his or her bank account.
     
  2. If an insured person who has been laid off and remains enrolled in labor insurance on a voluntary basis has not paid the insurance premiums for more than two months, the Bureau of Labor Insurance will terminate the coverage of this person in accordance with regulations. The Bureau shall recover any benefit payments received by the person during the period in which he or she owes premium payments in accordance with the law.
