Maternity Benefits

  1. Qualification
    The insured person who gives birth or has premature delivery during the effective period of the insurance (whether gives a live birth or stillbirth), she is entitled to claim the maternity benefit.
  2. Amount of Benefit
    (1)The maternity benefit is a two month lump-sum payment based upon the monthly insurance amount when the insured person gives birth or has premature delivery. In case of a plural birth, maternity benefit shall be increased proportionately, i.e., four-months of the monthly insurance amount for twins and six-months of the amount for triplets.
    (2)The insured person should choose one benefit to apply when also meet the qualification for maternity benefit conditions of related social insurances.
