It depends. Surviving family members of different identities have different requirements for claiming the pension. Only when the claiming requirements are met will the pension be distributed. Once the surviving family member does not meet the application requirements (such as upon being under detention due to any criminal case, disappear, remarriage of a spouse, or child(s) reaching legal age and are no longer registered as student), the Bureau will cease the distribution of the survivors’ pension from the month following the occurrence of the fact.
