3. When the insured does not have any beneficiary under the Labor Occupational Accident Insurance and Protection Act, can such beneficiary be designated? If not, how to apply for the funeral grant?
- The survivor allowances or pension of survivor benefit from labor occupational accident insurance is not an estate, and shall be distributed based on the priority of beneficiaries specified, and the insured may not designate a beneficiary by him/herself.
- In the event of the death of the insured who has no surviving family members, the person who paid the funeral expenses shall submit the supporting documents to apply for a 10-month funeral grant.
