The aim of the survivor pension is to ensure the life of the surviving family members of the insured in the long-term, so not every family member is eligible to receive such pension but only the ones who meet the requirements.
First you need to know - "the priority of the surviving family members’":
(1)A spouse, child. (2) Parents. (3) Grandparents. (4) Grandchildren supported by the insured person. (5) Siblings supported by the insured person.
Then you need to meet - "requirements for the surviving family members’":
- Spouse shall meet one of the following requirements:
(1) The spouse is aged 55 or more and the marriage has continued for one year or longer. However, this does not apply if you are unable to make a living by yourself or supporting (being minor, unable to make a living or under 25 years old, a student, and earning no more than level 1 of the insured salary per month) child(s).
(2) The spouse is aged 45 or more, the marriage has continued for one year or longer and the monthly work in-come does not exceed level 1 of the In-sured Salary Category Chart.
- Child(s) shall meet one of the following requirements:
(1)Minor. (2)No capacity to earn a living. (3)Aged 25 or less, schooled, with monthly work income below level 1 of the Insured Salary Category Chart.
- Parents or grandparents: Aged 55 or more, with monthly work income not exceeding level 1 of the Insured Salary Category Chart.
- Grandchild(s): Those who are supported by the insured and meet one of the requirements for child(s) mentioned in Paragraph (2) above.
- Sibling(s): Supported by the insured and meet one of the following requirements.
(1)Minor. (2)No capacity to earn a living. (3)Aged 55 or more, with monthly work income not exceeding level 1 of the Insured Salary Category Chart.
