Monthly Insured Amount

The monthly insured amount is the basis for calculating the premium and various benefit payments. During the first year after the implementation of the National Pension Program, the monthly insured amount was the Grade 1 minimum amount listed on the Table of Grades of Insurance Salary of labor insurance (NT$17,280 then). From the second year, the monthly insured amount shall be adjusted according to the growth rate of the consumer price index if it has reached 5%.
