The National Pension Program is a kind of social insurance launched by the Government and the main purpose for this insurance is to offer protection to nationals who do not participate in Government Employee Insurance, Insurance for Military Personnel, Labor Insurance and Farmer’s Health Insurance in times of old age, maternity, mental and physical disability, and death. The insurance also integrates the Old-Age Citizens’ Welfare Allowance and the Old-Age Indigenes’ Welfare Allowance Programs that were implemented before the National Pension Program was launched.
