1. Who should participate in National Pension Insurance?

  1. According to article 6 and 7 of National Pension Act, People who are over 25 years of age and under 65 years of age with their household registered in R.O.C., and who have not received old-age benefits of labor insurance, civil servant and teacher insurance or military insurance shall take part in National Pension Insurance and become the insured persons during the period they do not participate in Labor Insurance, Farmer’s health insurance, Government employee's insurance and Insurance of Military personnel.
     
  2. National Pension is mandatory social insurance. The bureau of labor insurance actively compares the household and related social insurance data, then enrolls the qualified or withdraws the disqualified people from the coverage of National Pension Insurance. In other words, the bureau of labor insurance shall enroll (withdraw) people who are (not) eligible for national pension insurance according to the law. You may not opt for voluntary insurance coverage or waive insurance coverage according to personal wishes.
