1. What is the monthly insured amount of National Pension Insurance? May I voluntarily increase my monthly insured amount?

  1. The monthly insured amount for the first year of the implementation of National Pension Act was decided according to the first grade on “Table of Grades of Insured Salary” of the Labor Insurance (It was NT$17,280 at that time). From the 2nd year on, adjustments of the monthly insured amount will be made according to the accumulated growth rate of the Consumer Price Index if the accumulated rate reaches 5%. The monthly insured amount is NT$18,282 from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2022. Currently, the monthly insured amount is NT$19,761 from January 1, 2023.
  2. Since the purpose of the national pension insurance is to provide the insured person's life with guaranteed economic security, so every insured person's monthly insurance amount are the same, you cannot increase according to personal wishes.
