16. When the survivor pension payment is remitted to a bank account overseas each month, there is a handling charge to be paid. Can the BLI reduce the charge?

Pursuant to Article 48 of the Enforcement Rules of the Labor Insurance Act, the insurance benefit shall be remitted directly to the individual account of the beneficiary. If the person who claims the survivor pension does not have a household registration or a bank account in Taiwan, he/she can apply for the payments to be made every six months, so as to reduce the handling charges for monthly international remittances.
