2. Who is eligible to make voluntary contributions under the new labor pension system?

Individuals, including domestic workers, foreign spouses, spouses from Mainland China (including Hong Kong and Macao), foreign nationals who have obtained permanent residence, foreign professionals, and foreign specialist professionals, may make voluntary contributions. In addition, the following persons are also eligible to make voluntary contributions:

I. Employees not covered by the Labor Standards Act.
II. Commissioned workers.
III. Employers who actually engage in labor work.
IV. The self-employed operators.
V. Workers covered exclusively by the old Labor Pension system.
