Injury or Sickness Benefits

According to the Labor Insurance Act:

1. The average monthly insurance salary is calculated by dividing the insured persons' total monthly insurance salaries in the most current six months (including the current month) prior to the insurance incident occurs by 6; for those who have joined insurance coverage less than six months, their average monthly insurance salaries shall be calculated by their actual coverage years.
2. For ordinary injury or sickness, from the fourth day after the insured person is hospitalized to the day on which he/she is discharged; for occupational injury or disease, from the fourth day after the insured person is incapacitated for work to one day before he/she returns to work.
3. Occupational injury or disease compensation shall be payable at the rate of seventy percent of the average monthly insurance salary of an insured person, and payable every half month for the maximum period of six months. In case the insured person has not recovered from the injury or disease after one full year, the compensation shall be reduced to fifty percent of the average monthly insurance salary for the maximum period of one year.  (Related regulations)
