7. If an insured person dies during the effective period of the insurance and he/she has met the qualifications for claiming old-age benefits, could the insured person’s beneficiary choose to collect one-time old-age benefits?

If an insured person dies during the effective period of the insurance, his/her beneficiary could claim survivor benefits according to the regulations in Articles 63 and Article 64 of the Labor Insurance Act. However, if by the time the insured person is dead, the insured person had already met the insurance coverage seniority and age limit for claiming old-age benefits according to Article 58 of the Labor Insurance Act, if the insured person’s first order beneficiary wishes to waive claiming survivor benefits and choose the better one-time old-age benefit, he/she could do so and collect the benefit according to related regulations.
