4. If the parents raise a child at the same time and they have already applied for unpaid parental leave. How many months could they claim for unpaid parental leave allowances?

If the parents are both insured and qualify for the allowances, they could separately apply for a 6-month allowance, and they could each apply for a total of 12 months of allowance for the same child.

If the insured person resumes employment ahead of schedule or leaves employment during the period for which he or she receives parental leave allowances, he or she should take the initiative to inform the Bureau of Labor Insurance, or it may be necessary for the Bureau to recover the excess amount received by the insured person by legal means.
