If an insured person is concurrently employed by two insured units, applies for unpaid parental leave by following the regulations of the Act of Gender Equality in Employment, qualifies for unpaid parental leave allowances, and has given birth, then the insured person may apply for the allowances at any one of the insured units. Receiving the employment insurance benefits (including unpaid parental leave allowances) with more than two insured salaries per month; therefore, the insured salaries may not be jointly considered in calculating the average monthly insurance salary. Instead, one of the higher monthly insurance salaries shall be used to calculate the average monthly insurance salary.
