17. What should do if insured persons, who participate in labor insurance as members of occupational union or Class A member of fishermen association, fail to pay insurance premium on time?

  1. Insured persons who participate in labor insurance under the identity of members of occupational union or Class A member of fishermen association shall pay the insurance premium shouldered by themselves every month to the insured unit on time, and the union (association) will submit the premium to the Bureau. If the payment for insurance premium is unpaid after the grace period, the insured unit could impose an overdue penalty(an additional overdue penalty at the rate of 0.1 percent shall be paid for each day beginning from the expiration day of the grace period to one day before the premiums are paid in full, provided that the overdue penalty shall not be more than 20% the amount of the premiums) on behalf of the Bureau and the insurance benefits will be temporarily suspended to such insured persons if they still do not pay for 15 days after the overdue penalty is imposed.

  2. You should go to original occupational union (fishermen association) to pay off the overdue premium and penalty for lifting the insurance benefits suspension.
