23. How are the insured person's rights and interests affected when the insured unit fails to pay the premium on time?

If the insured unit fails to pay premiums on time, the Bureau shall issue late payment notice and time limited payment notice, impose overdue penalty fines, temporarily reject issuing benefits, and transfer such case to the Administrative Enforcement Agency. Regarding the insured person's rights and interests, according to Article 17, Paragraph 3 of the Labor Insurance Act, if the insured unit has deducted the payable premium from the insured person's monthly salary, when applying for relevant benefits, the insured person may submit documents proving that one has paid insurance premium to the insured unit. The rights and interests of the insured person for receiving relevant labor and employment insurance benefits shall not be affected.
