Based on the revised Table of Grades of Insurance Salary, the amount of insurance salary for Level 1 shall be adjusted to NT$19,047 from 1 July 2013. For individuals insured at a monthly salary of NT$18,780 in June 2013, the Bureau of Labor Insurance shall proactively adjust the monthly insurance salary to NT$19,047 from the effective date. The insured units are not required to file an application

The revised Table of Grades of Insurance Salary, including a total of 20 levels, shall be implemented on 1 July 2013. The amount of monthly insurance salary for Level 1 shall be adjusted to NT$19,047. The original Level 1 (NT$18,780) shall be removed from the table. The amounts for Level 2 to Level 20 on the original table shall remain unchanged. For trainees of vocational training institutions, child workers, part-time workers and disabled people under sheltered employment programs, the insurance salary shall also remain the same if the salary received by the insured is lower than the basic wage.

Following the revision of the Table of Grades of Insurance Salary, the Bureau of Labor Insurance shall proactively adjust the insurance salary of the following insured persons from 1 July 2013: child workers, trainees of vocational training institutions, part-time workers, disabled people under sheltered employment programs, and individuals insured with the vocational associations or fishermen's associations who's monthly insurance salary in June 2013 is NT$18,780. Effective from the same date, the premium amount shall be calculated on basis of the adjusted amount. The notice for the adjustment of monthly insurance salary shall be printed on the reverse side of the insurance premium payment bills for April 2013, which shall be mailed to the insured unit in the last ten days of May 2013. For those insured persons with an automatically-adjusted insurance salary, the Bureau shall also provide a “Monthly List of Premium Calculation for Insured Persons with Premium Adjustment”, which shall be included in the premium payment bill for July 2013 (to be mailed during the last ten days of August 2013). The insured units should check the lists carefully when received. If there is any discrepancy, please advise the Bureau before the deadline for premium payment.

Insured units are required to check the total monthly salary of the insured persons who are currently covered at the level of NT$19,200 (including those proactively adjusted by the Bureau on 1 April 2013). If the total monthly salary received by the insured has not attained NT$19,047, the insured unit should submit the "Application for Adjustment of Insurance Salary" during the period of 1 June 2013 to 30 June 2013. The adjustment shall become valid on 1 July 2013. Applications submitted after end of June 2013 shall be effected on the first day of the month following the application date.

With respect to applications for new enrollments or adjustments of insurance salary that involve workers aged 16 and above, the Bureau shall, starting from July 1, 2013, proactively revise the monthly insurance amount to NT$19,047 if the amount reported by the insured unit is less than NT$19,047 (not including part-time workers, disabled people under sheltered employment programs, child workers and trainees of vocational training institutions). The revised amount shall become valid on the effective date of the new enrollment or the adjustment. No separate notice shall be issued. When applying for new enrollment or insurance salary adjustment for part-time workers or disabled persons under the sheltered employment programs, the insured unit should specify on the form "Part-time Workers" or "Disabled Persons under the Sheltered Employment Programs", otherwise they will not be allowed to participate at an insurance salary of lower than NT$19,047.
