6. If an insured person is laid off and continue to participate in labor insurance, whether he/she could apply for injury and sickness benefits if he/she is involved in an accident?

Since injury and sickness benefits are to protect the labor against the salary lost due to the inability to work from the injury or sickness. The insured person who is laid off and continues to participate in the labor insurance, since he/she has no work income, so there is salary shortage issue. Hence, according to “Regulations for laid-off insured persons to continue participating in labor insurance and insurance benefit payment standard”, the injury and sickness benefits would not be issued for insured person who continue participating in labor insurance after being laid-off.
